Insurance & Billing

I provide outpatient psychotherapy to adolescents and adults in California and am in-network with select insurance plans. Telehealth services are available statewide. In-person sessions are available in Nevada City.

Using Insurance

Psychotherapy services may be eligible for insurance reimbursement depending on your specific plan benefits. Coverage may include copays, coinsurance, deductibles, or authorization requirements.

Services are billed as clinically appropriate under standard outpatient mental health codes and must meet medical necessity criteria. Clients are responsible for understanding their individual insurance benefits and cost-sharing obligations.

Self-Pay for Psychotherapy

Clients may choose to pay privately for psychotherapy services.

Out-of-Network Benefits

If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.

Upon request, I can provide a superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance carrier. Clients are responsible for submitting out-of-network claims and communicating directly with their insurance company regarding reimbursement.

Coaching, Retreats & Trainings

Executive functioning coaching, creative coaching, retreats, and educational trainings are separate, self-pay services. These services are not psychotherapy and are not billed to insurance.

Telehealth

Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for clients physically located in California at the time of service.

We acknowledge that the Nisenan people are still here among us today though nearly invisible. We understand that we are on Nisenan land that was never ceded, and the original tribal families have yet to recover from the near genocide of their people. As a resident or visitor in Nisenan land, we support the Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan tribe in efforts to stabilize their people as well as their campaign to restore federal recognition.
